An executive in the healthcare industry, David Musselman has extensive experience in business development, team management, coaching, sales, and commercial strategy. David Musselman serves as vice president of sales and commercial strategy at Urovant Sciences, a company recently acquired by and integrated into Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc.
Mr. Musselman began his career working for Pfizer. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in finance and management in 1998, he joined the biopharmaceutical company as a professional healthcare representative. He worked for the company for nine years, covering roles of increasing responsibility until his last position as district manager in Savannah, Georgia.
From 2007 to 2020, Mr. Musselman served in various leadership roles at Astellas in Northbrook, Illinois. He started as a senior regional sales manager, then served as senior area sales director and director of regional accounts. His last position was as area vice president from 2017 to 2020. In this role, he led a large team of sales directors, regional sales managers, and sales professionals.
Aside from his bachelor’s degree, David Musselman has an MBA from Wake Forest University. Away from work, his interests include boating, reading, and hiking. He resides in the Charleston, South Carolina area.
